Pat was one of the first
agents employed by the State of Michigan to develop and implement
the oversight program following approval of tribal gaming compacts
in 1992. Pat was instrumental in establishing the first
electronic gaming device testing program for verification of tribal
slot machines. With the 1997 authorization of casino
gaming for the City of Detroit, Pat became one
of the initial staff members of the newly established Michigan
Gaming Control Board (MGCB). Pat served as both Compliance
Manager and Manager of the MGCB Gaming Laboratory. He was the
principle force behind the highly successful development of the
board gaming laboratory. A recognized expert in the area of game
device testing and a member of the North American Gaming Regulators Association, Pat is a frequent speaker at major gaming
conferences. |
Tom served as the first
Director of Licensing and Enforcement for the Michigan Gaming
Control Board (MGCB). In this capacity, Tom was responsible for the
development and implementation of many of the board's policies and
procedures. He developed the background investigation protocols and
supervised the successful initial licensing of the three Detroit
casino developments. Tom also supported the creation of
the MGCB gaming laboratory and oversaw the successful development
of this program. Prior to joining the board, Tom served for 22 years
as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan. A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Tom is a member of the North American Gaming Regulators Association.
